The Syndicate Of Sound had a top ten hit in 1966 with the upbeat garage sound of 'Little Girl', but this post is highlighting 'You', the stunning little gem on the flipside. This downtrodden garage ballad is quite the counterpart to the manic 'Little Girl', and features minor key moodiness perfectly accented with harmony vocals and a killer flute break. I am very happy to report that I rescued this great sounding copy from the floor bins today for $1 and have united it with my turntable where it is once again 1966!
